Q. What is NLP?

A. Neuro Linguistic Programming is a vital set of communication,  listening, and rapport skills for enhancing personal and professional development and behavior modifications creating personal change with a graceful ease. NLP is also described as an operators manual  for your brain — allowing you to automatically tap into the kind of experiences you want to have.

Q. What can NLP do?

A. It lets you model, and demonstrate, human excellence of any kind. With NLP, you can identify what makes someone exceptionally skilled and get that skill for yourself or teach it to others. NLP can help you become adept in whatever is important to you. Getting along with your family, co-workers, and being more effective on the job.

Q. Where is NLP useful?

A. NLP is valuable wherever human communication skills can enhance results — in business, consultation, management, negotiations, education, counseling, therapy, relationships, parenting, nursing, public speaking, sports performance and many other areas.

Q. What kind of results can I get with NLP?

A. NLP can allow: spousal relationships to improve becoming stronger and healthier. Parents to understand and communicate with their children better.  Children to realize how powerful their thoughts are and make better decisions and accomplish great results.  A salesperson to significantly increase their business.  A therapist to change the impact of the past in a client.  A teacher to change a poor speller into a good speller.  A business person to gain rapport non verbally and to run meetings efficiently, an athlete to improve concentration and more. The results you get depend on the specific application and with NLP there are many.

Q. Will NLP change the way I think?

A. Probably. NLP is a model of how the brain works. When you understand what yours can do, you will probably want to use it to greater advantage and achieve full potential.

Q. Does NLP deal with emotions?

A. Yes. This is one of the things NLP does best. You can experience it for yourself in a seminar. NLP helps people transform debilitating emotions into empowering, resourceful feelings. Since many therapies are very slow, based on catharsis or venting your feelings, many people associate personal change with the expression of a lot of unpleasant feelings. NLP offers a much more pleasant, effective way of dealing with emotions. We assist people in going through old memories in new ways, quickly transforming unpleasant experiences into positive resources. This is done in a content free atmosphere. Q. Can you use NLP on yourself?

A. Yes. You can use some NLP patterns with yourself immediately. This includes: changing your feelings, learning a new thinking strategy, changing habits, motivating yourself and more. Other patterns are primarily useful in working with others.

Q. Is NLP manipulative?

A. The definition of manipulative is: influencing or attempting to influence the behavior or emotions of others for one’s own purpose. Since NLP is so powerful in getting results, people want to know that it will be used to benefit them. Our training emphasizes ways to make sure the changes you help someone get are in her or his best interest. Knowing NLP gives you ways of protecting yourself from manipulation by others or the media.

Q. What age group can attend NLP class?

A. All ages can attend NLP! Birth-7 Bring quiet toys allow them to play at back of room (welcome to bring electronic devices, ipads, etc). 7-14(welcome to bring electronic devices, ipads, etc). Allow them to interact with adults. 14+ Are treated as adults and are encouraged to participate in class activities. *Ask about our reduced fees! Over 65 This is fabulous information to keep the mind clear, alert, and learn to use the mind in more creative ways! You’re never too old to learn or too young to start!

Q. How is integrity incorporated in the teaching of NLP?

A. We find it works better when your purpose and others purpose come together for a win/win. Now obviously in sports there is a win/ lose. People come in with their own moral ethical code. We address integrity specifically in the third session of the Advanced Practitioner Certification Training.

Q. Can I get the results I want by reading a book, or is it better to attend a seminar?

A. NLP books are an economical way to find out more about NLP. Attending a seminar allows you to install the technology into behavior. Reading a book lets you know about NLP. A training is the easiest way to have NLP skills become a natural part of your behavior as they allow you to observe live demonstrations, practice in an encouraging environment, get feedback and make personal changes along the way. In addition, our assistant trainers can help you identify the blind spots you cannot find individually through books.
